Proper Hat Care Guidelines
Handling: Always grip your hat by the brim rather than the crown, especially with straw hats which are more delicate. When setting your hat down, flip it upside down so it rests on the crown - never place it brim-down as this will cause the brim to lose its shape and flatten over time.
Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust and debris from the surface of your hat regularly.
Temperature: Keep your hat away from heat sources like stoves, radiators, lamps, and sunny car windows, as heat will cause the interior sweatband to shrink.
Storage: Choose a cool, dry location for storing your hat to maintain its shape and cleanliness. During off-seasons, protect your hat by storing it in your Steven Land Custom Hat Box.
Wet Weather Care: If your felt hat becomes wet, first reshape it to its original form, then fold down the interior sweatband and let the hat rest on this band to air dry. Never place a wet hat brim-down or expose it to direct heat while drying.
